We have a range of schools across Margate who work closely with Academics to take on a number of enthusiastic graduates into these SEND Teaching Assistant positions on a 1:1 or small group basis.
A Teaching Assistant's responsibilities include:
- To provide continued support for the teacher
- To carry out one to one and/or small group work with students
- Providing tuition and booster sessions with pupils working at a lower ability or on the Special Educational Needs register
- Reading sessions and providing numeracy and literacy support
Successful candidates will have:
- Enhanced DBS (we can support you with your application)
- Experience of working with SEND children in KS1 and KS2
- Strong Behaviour Management Strategies
- A positive and inclusive attitude
- A team player spirit
