Location: Plymouth, UK

Pay: £80 - £100 (negotiable, dependant on experience)

Start Date: Immediate available

Hours: 8.30 – 15.30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Role Type: Temporary, Day-to-day bookings, Full-time/Part-time

About us: Reed Education in Plymouth, we are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join our team! We take pride in ensuring we match all of our candidates to the perfect role while also making sure your time with us runs as smoothly as possible. Once you register, you will have a dedicated, experienced consultant to support you from the start of your registration, until you have found your dream school! While out on placement in our lovely partner schools, we are here to support you with any questions or issues that may arise.

As a Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

• Providing support for individuals within the classroom
• Assist the teacher in conducting lessons.
• Managing adverse behaviours in the classroom.
• Conducting pupil interventions.
• Provide day-to-day wellbeing and physical care.
• Working alongside the class teachers to ensure children's needs are met.
• Supporting children and young people with challenging behaviours, learning difficulties and physical disabilities. 

Qualities and Skills we are looking for:

• A bubbly and Engaging personality
• A calm and patient nature
• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) in Children and Adults.
• A passion for working with children and young people. 
• A Valid Enhanced DBS (or happy to undergo the process of obtaining a DBS).
• Experience working in a similar setting and/or transferrable skills and qualities (desirable, but not essential).
