Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – Job Description

  • Support Maths across KS3, KS4 & KS5
  • Large Academy School – 1350 pupils 11-18 years
  • Maths graduate needed – 1st and 2.1 degrees are preferred         
  • Diverse and Multi-cultural catchment area
  • Planned teacher training from September 2024
  • As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant – earn £500 to £525 per week
  • Monday to Friday 8.25 to 3.45pm
  • To start ASAP
  • Hackney, London

This progressive secondary school is looking for a graduate maths teaching assistant to support maths for the remainder of this academic year.

The style of teaching at this school is dynamic and “action” orientated. Maths and science teachers are tasked with providing exciting lessons that use relevant resources to help pupils to relate to the subject in hand. One current maths teacher presented a middle ability class in year 10 where posed the problem of a motor bike stunt performed in 2019 – the class had to consider maths, physics and engineering knowledge required to make the stunt possible.

The school is a modern build facility – less than 5 years old. The teaching team have access to excellent resources and pupils are taught in a safe and engaging environment.
