Location: Cornwall

Do you have an interest in ground investigation and contaminated land projects? Wants to make a positive impact on your environmental and have a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, environmental science or physical geography? This is the position for you. A geotechnical and environmental consultancy with multiple offices across the UK are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic graduate engineering geologist to join their team based near Camborne, Cornwall.

The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer selected will be:

  • Carrying out ground investigations
  • Assisting with site walkovers.
  • Writing factual and interpretive reports.
  • Carrying out soil and rock logging.
  • Trial pitting.
  • Carrying out phase 1 desk studies.
  • Observing day to day tasks to develop knowledge.

Therefore, to be considered for this Gradate Geotechnical Engineer role you should:

  • Have a minimum of a BSc in geology, geotechnical engineering, environmental science, geography, environmental management, or a relevant subject (MSc preferable).
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Have a full right to work in the UK.
  • Live commutable to Cornwall.
  • Have an interest in engineering geology and/or ground investigation.

The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer selected will be offered a great entry level salary (£23,000-£26,000), depending on experience. Further benefits including an enhanced company pension and benefits will also be included as well as the geotechnical engineer being provided with industry leading training, Continued Professional Development and a variation of work offered.
