The successful candidate will be mainly working and supporting students ranging from key stage 3 to key stage 5 classes in small groups supporting Geography and Humanities subjects. The Geography Teaching Assistant role itself will have you supporting Teachers over a variety of topics in Geography, helping students gain a better understanding of learning objectives within your specialist area.

During your time at the school, you will find yourself work within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas, as well as encouraging high flying students to reach their full potential.

It would be beneficial if you have gained a 2:1 or higher in your degree to demonstrate that you have a top conceptual understanding of the topics you will be helping students with. More importantly you will need a passion for Geography and your specialism, but also a passion for education in general and a desire to work within a school setting in the future.
