Engineering Graduate Development Program

Provectus Recruitment are working with a leading Consultancy based in Cambridge, that specialist in the research and development & manufacture of cutting-edge electronic, sensor-based solutions.

This dynamic business work in range of industries and solve real-world problems around Electronics, Signal Processing, Sensing, Cloud connectivity and measurement and infrastructure, via fundamental engineering & research and development.

This business operates a global Engineering Leadership development program, which is an intense two-year program for technical graduates to accelerate their professional development, whilst exposing themselves to a wide range of industry challenges and different functions within a global technology business.

The Role

Based in Cambridge, this program consists of three rotational assignments within the global business, driven by real business priorities. The program includes Continuous Improvement training, formal presentations to senior leadership, and valuable leadership training. The Rotational assignments are intended to provide a broad exposure across: Engineering, Innovation, Sustainability, Data Science, Software Engineering, Product Management, Project Management etc. Successful completion of the program inevitably leads to off program placement.

  • Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of program.
  • Complete assignment objectives on schedule, within budget.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and apply engineering fundamentals in the business environment.
  • Demonstrate analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Propose new analyses, techniques, and methodologies with respect to specific area of responsibility where applicable.
  • Complete program training including continuous improvement training.

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Degree in Engineering, (Electrical, Software, Electronics, Computer Science, Software, Physics, Chemistry)
  • Strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for engineering
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to lead and work in teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous internship/placement experience would be preferrable.
