This successful and well-established civil engineering consultancy is looking for a graduate civil engineering consultant to join their supportive team. The company has been running for over 20 years, so they have a wealth of knowledge and experience to learn from. They provide consultative and design services for drainage, highways, flood risks, house building, and many more projects, so there’s lots to get involved with.

As this is a consultative role, having communication skillsand a strong understanding of civil engineering, especially hydraulics. You will be given a chance to experience a wide range of projects throughout the business. This includes looking after the client base, reviewing development plans, writing/reading reports and proposals, getting involved with planning, designing, and attending meetings.

Within this role you will be learning a lot and constantly developing your skills.You will begin by working alongside the director to learn the whole business and how everything works. Then, once you are ready, you will help with different projects, and run your own smaller projects, then larger ones as you progress. Therefore, taking ownership for your work and having excellent time management is essential.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Site 3D/Causeway Flow (training can be provided if you need it).
  • Driving License is preferred as you will need to travel to client sites.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics.
  • Great communication skills and ability to form relationships quickly
  • Time Management.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects.
  • 1 year In industry is preferred.
  • Graduate from a Civil Engineering course, or other relevant degree.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

This role is office based, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
