Service: GP Surgery
Location: Coventry, West
Rate: £14500 per session (pro rata)
Days: Monday and Tuesday
Assignment: 6 months and then ongoing

The Client
Our client is a forward-thinking GP practice that is now under new management. The new partner is seeking to expand services and also ensure that these is enough clinical resource to help manage the current patient population. This a genuinely exciting opportunity to join an expansive team that is open to new ideas and innovative ways of working.

The Role
As a General Practitioner at this great surgery, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality primary care services to our patients. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, provide preventive care and health education, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient management. You will be fully supported and have mentorship opportunities if you so wish with the Partner.

  • Conducting consultations, assessments, and examinations
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses
  • Providing preventive care, health screenings, and vaccinations
  • Prescribing medications and reviewing treatment plans
  • Offering counseling and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborating with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
  • Supporting junior clinical staff as and when required.
  • You need to be on call on one of the two days that you are working

Requirements

  • You will be an enthusiastic General Practitioner who wants to be part of a great team and not 'just a locum.'
  • You will have a DBS dated within the last 12 months or be on the update service.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the GP register
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centred care
  • Willingness to participate in continuous professional development and training activities for yourself and the team
  • Be up-to-date with all mandatory training and immunisations
