Temporary Goods Receipt & Shipping Operator £25,000 per annum

My client based near Cambridge Airport has an immediate opportunity for a Goods Receipt & Shipping Operator to perform a wide variety of material handling tasks to ensure a smooth flow of material around the factory.

The role will be 80% PC based using various software, then 20% physically labelling up boxes and producing pack lists.

  • To ensure the quality of outgoing goods, both ensuring the physical packaging is in good condition and the contents match the packing list.
  • To communicate with customer service to ensure that customers are kept informed of shipment progress.
  • General administrative duties as required outside of the shipping/receiving role.

Hours are Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:00pm, however there could be some flexibility on a later start time. The duration of the role is possibly up until mid-2024.

You will need to be PC literate and used to material handling tasks, including frequent lifting, as some of the boxes in question can weigh 20-30kg, with some exceptions even 40kg plus. You will have excellent communication skills. Prior experience with shipping/ receiving would be a bonus.
