Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality German language lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
• Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
• Participate in meetings at the school, which relate to the curriculum for the school or the administration or organisation of the school, including pastoral arrangements.
• Attend parents’ meetings and be appropriately prepared to discuss student achievement and well-being.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in German education, such as QTS or PGCE.
• Prior experience teaching German at the secondary education level.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for German.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
