About the role:

Our client is a specialist in providing renewable and decarbonizing energy solutions for clients across the public & private sectors. They are professionals in supporting businesses to achieve their energy management, sustainability, decarbonisation ambitions.

We are currently looking for a Generator Engineer, who will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of diesel generator equipment.

Candidates MUST have 18th Edition.

The candidate should have experience with diesel engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrics, and braking systems and will hold a full valid UK driving licence.

An Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent is preferred.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Service, repair and maintain diesel generators as well as other related hire equipment.
  • Keep up-to-date with administrative tasks, including accurate reporting of parts used and time spent.
  • Assist in the operation of hire contracts and prepping all machines for hire.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and employees.
  • Provide technical advice as required.
  • Planning and coordination of service, maintenance and repair visits.
  • Support the development and capabilities of the field service team.
  • Administrative duties in managing hire contracts.
  • Provide high customer service in the field.
