About the scheme: We are currently overseeing a groundbreaking £200 million substation project in Carlisle and are seeking a skilled and versatile General Operator to join our dynamic team.

Job Description: As a General Operator on our £200 million substation project, you will play a crucial role in various aspects of construction and operation. This position requires versatility, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, dumpers, rollers, and other machinery as needed.
• Support the construction team in various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a General Operator in large-scale construction projects.
• Familiarity with the operation of a range of construction equipment.
• Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for relevant machinery.
• Ability to adapt to different tasks and work environments.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
