This role will help us to do this by running an effective electrical and gas operations for circa 7500 homes and communal buildings. You’ll be responsible for gas compliance across our domestic properties and communal sites and for contract management of our commercial gas contractors & electrical contractors.

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and legislation for Gas and Electrical safety to the properties.

  • Reactive & Planned Maintenance.

  • Key account holder with Gas Safe.

  • Electrical Testing & Maintenance to all Properties.

  • Working alongside the Section Heads, to deliver an excellent customer focused planned and responsive gas repairs service.

  • Planned & Re-active Boiler Replacements.

  • H&S, materials and fleet compliance.

  • Named Principal Duty Holder NICEIC.

We need people who are / have

  • Held a similar role, within a Repairs & Maintenance social housing environment at a similar level

  • Have a Gas and/or electrical primary trade background or degree qualification

  • Experience managing people, budgets, performance and improving value for money

  • Hold Gas and/or Electrical primary trade qualification - NVQ / C&G Level IlI

Due to the nature of the role a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required. You must have the ability to work out of hours and be on standby (to take phone calls) on a rota, in case of issues escalated.
