Proactive Personnel are recruiting for Galvanizing Operatives for our prestige client!

As a Galvanizing Operative your role will involve:

• Receiving material coming into the plant
• To be able to distinguish between "process materials" and "materials" for Galvanizing
• To inspect materials for suitability in accordance with the pre-process checking procedure
• Check incoming advice/delivery notes
• Unload vehicles paying due care to avoid damages and store on yard in a safe and suitable manner
• Bring materials into works when required for processing and unload onto jigs in a safe manner suitable for processing, fully utilising jig capacity. Ensure ID labels are attached
• Unload jigs after galvanizing
• Count and stack material in a safe and tidy manner, giving due care to avoid damages
• Attaching ID labels
• Weigh material prior to storing on yard in a safe and easily accessible manner
• Load vehicles paying due care to avoid damages and checking quantities against notes
• To employ methods with regard to own safety and of others in the immediate vicinity

What you will need:

• Be a quick learner and be able to follow clear direction and a structured health and safety training programme including the use of PPE
• Experience working within a production process environment would be ESSENTIAL, however full training and ongoing support will be given
• A team player however working alone is required
• Excellent time management, attention to detail and hard work ethic
• Committed to the role and company
• Flexibility to work overtime when required would be beneficial
