Hays are excited to be recruiting for an FX Portfolio Constructor to join a leading Investment Manager in London on a contract basis.


You'll work closely with global investment teams, ensuring adherence to risk-mitigating controls and managing currency exposure.


Role Overview: As a Portfolio constructor, you'll be responsible for non-discretionary portfolio management services on portfolios delegated by investment teams. Your focus will be on FX management, cash management, and futures implementation. Join our collaborative team of professionals dedicated to excellence.

Key Responsibilities will include:
FX Management:
Monitor and manage currency risk on portfolios, aligning with targets set by delegating portfolio managers.
Raise FX forward hedge adjustment orders as needed.
Handle share class hedging, including base currency risk and portfolio currency exposure risk.
Manage portfolio cash FX, raising spot FX orders for funding or repatriation.

Cash Management:
Invest excess cash into Money Markets UCITS with same-day settlement, following defined targets/ratios.
Oversee master feeder cash levels, ensuring full investment into the master fund.
Execute master fund UCITS orders when required.

Role Requirements:

Specific knowledge of FX
Familiarity with risk-mitigating controls and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in using relevant software tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
Confident user of Excel, and ideally some VBA skills
