Functional Skills Tutor

We are an Ofsted Good school in the DA postcode area, who are currently seeking a strong and dedicated Functional Skills- Maths / English Teacher to teach students at our school for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

As a SEN Tutor, you will be tutoring groups of students with ASD, SEMH and other learning difficulties who have a wide range of abilities. You will be teaching Level 1 & 2 functional skills.

This role would, therefore, suit a teacher who is confident in teaching and creating engaging lessons.

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, committed and flexible to teach students with varying Mental Health needs, including learning inside of the classroom and teaching life skills. The candidate would be required to apply positive behaviour management approaches and build strong relationships with our pupils.
