Functional Skills Hub Manager - Offender Learning Sector

• Annual Salary: £41,829 - £46,318 (Inclusive of London Weighting Allowance)

We are seeking a Functional Skills Hub Manager to join our team within the Offender Learning Sector in Southwest London. This role is a unique chance to lead the delivery and quality assurance of the functional skills curriculum, making a meaningful difference in the lives of learners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and eager to contribute positively to the community.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of the functional skills curriculum within the establishment.
• Collaborate with the Local Education Manager and prison Governor’s representatives to ensure the educational provision meets the needs of the learners.
• Lead and support a team of specialist teachers and tutors, fostering a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
• Implement and manage continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A teaching qualification, minimum Cert Ed or PGCE.
• A degree or equivalent, which can include equivalent life/career experience.
• A Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or above.
• Experience in implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures.
• A clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Must have an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification.
