You will get the chance to:
As a Category Buyer, you'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and monitor performance to ensure effective business partnerships. Collaborating with procurement colleagues and other departments, you'll participate in product review meetings, offering analytical insights into market trends. You'll also contribute to departmental efficiency improvements, monitor competitor and market activity, and source new suppliers to secure the best products and pricing. Additionally, you'll plan and manage promotional product focus weeks in alignment with the agreed promotional calendar.
What you'll need:
- Understanding of the buying process with minimum of 2 years experience and would like to learn more and develop skills into a career in procurement
- Service minded buyer that enjoys working on changing priorities and can work on multiple accounts building great relationships
- Data-driven and can use business analytics to understand and continuously optimize activities
We can offer you:
- £30,000 to £40,000
- 37.5 hours per week with some flex on start/finish times
- Monday to Friday in the office
