Position: Team Assistants (Front House Receptionist) Organisation: NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) Location: Reading Salary: £11.67 to £12.45 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the initial contact point for visitors, patients, and staff, offering a friendly and professional welcome at the front house reception in Reading.
  • Respond to and redirect phone calls, taking messages when needed and ensuring clear communication.
  • Keep the reception area clean and organized, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Offer administrative support to various teams, including calendar management, meeting arrangements, and assistance with general office tasks.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring proper distribution and record-keeping.
  • Keep accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong orientation towards customer service, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and email applications.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and administrative tasks.
  • Prior experience in receptionist or customer service roles is preferred.
