Sales Executive needed

Are you experienced in lead generation or general sales?

I am on the hunt for a Sales Executive to join a dynamic team of 6 for a freight forwarding company in Shepperton. The successful candidate will join a young and vibrant team and will primarily focus on developing business with clients within the freight sector. This is an office-based, Monday-Friday role, working from 9am-5:30pm. 

Main duties:
  • Engage in cold calling to build your own customer base from scratch, with an expectation of 80-100 calls daily, rising with experience.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of new leads and manage client relationships.
  • Perform client account management duties.
  • Quote customers.
  • Pass successful bookings on to the operations team.
  • Manage a national client list (as well as a small number of overseas clients).
  • Visit major clients and customers (approx. once per month) to strengthen relationships.
  • Work towards personal sales targets/KPI's.
Key requirements:
  • Strong sales OR freight forwarding experience (a combination of both would be desirable)
  • A bubbly, friendly personality that fits into a vibrant and energetic team.
  • A driver’s license is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilience and determination to meet and exceed sales targets.
Benefits & package:
  • Base salary of £23,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.
  • On Target Earnings (OTE) with a 3-month leeway to learn the ropes.
