RGB Recruitment Ltd are working with a leading specialist contractor who are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to awarded projects.

Their market is resilient and due to sustained growth across their core sectors - high spec leisure and commercial schemes - they need assistance on a £2.6m fit-out for which there will be some remaining procurement plus monthly valuations, variations and sub-contractor payments to organise.

The contract is anticipated to run for 6 months, the majority of time would be spent in the Exeter office with regular site visits (out of area).

In addition to having a visible presence on the scheme and maintaining client communication, you'll also be responsible for the following:

· Providing up to date information on anticipated final account figures and projected profit
· Providing feedback to Estimators regarding actual costs
· Identifying cost saving opportunities
· Identifying and recording variations to contract
· Monitor variation accounts, for inclusion where appropriate within client account
· Agreeing final accounts and reconciling with client account

A seasoned Surveyor with a proven track record in the contracting arena, it's envisaged you'd have a HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent qualification) to supplement your experience plus excellent communication, IT and negotiation skills. It's also essential that you're happy to undertake site visits/client meetings some distance away.
