Greenwell Gleeson are working exclusively with a high growth business based in Sutton Coldfield to recruit an FP&A analyst. This is a brand new role for the business, which is now critical due to growth.

The FP&A Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department and senior management in various financial planning and analysis activities. This individual will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting financial data to provide insights and recommendations that will guide key business decisions. The analyst will also play a key role in the successful implementation of new FP&A software.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, and project teams to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget with respect to the proposed new FP&A software.

  • Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users' post-implementation. Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize system functionality and usability.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the finance team with annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor budget-to-actual variances and provide insightful analysis to explain differences and identify areas for improvement.

  • Financial Modelling: Assist with the development and maintenance of financial models to support long-term strategic planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making processes.

  • Management Reporting: Assist with the preparation and distribution of regular management reports that summarise key financial metrics, performance indicators, and variance analysis to senior leadership.

  • Business Performance Analysis: Analyse historical and projected financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to ad hoc requests from management for financial analysis, reporting, and decision support.

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline financial planning and analysis processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.
