Fostering Recruitment Marketing Officer needed in Wembley, £39,264.00pa PAYE - Reference: 5247335

FTC 12 Months - Covering Maternity 

  • To work as part of the Fostering Service, to increase the recruitment of Foster carers in Brent.
  • To manage creative multimedia marketing and publicity campaigns to enable the department to meet its target in recruiting foster carers, whilst collating and managing information about the needs of looked after children in Brent and the types of carers needed to inform the recruitment strategy.
  • To maximise the department's ability to recruit foster carers for looked after children in Brent.
  • To maintain the Fostering website pages ensuring they are updated as well as finding opportunities to increase usage.
  • To plan and organise recruitment events internally and externally with support from social workers and other team members.
  • To engage with foster carers to develop participation in recruitment campaigns to aid retention.
  • To work with other Brent services and community groups to promote fostering within hard to reach groups.
  • To undertake surveys and research that will inform the recruitment strategy and aid retention of foster carers, in the form of customer service surveys and exit surveys on resignation. This also includes the collation of data and evaluation of marketing activities and events.
  • To produce monthly newsletters for fostering recruitment, including the gathering of information, article writing and production of audio-video assets.
  • To organise and coordinate events for carers such as Foster Carers Support Group and the monthly Fostering Information Evening.
  • To attend supervision, appraisals, team and section meetings.
  • To attend regular meetings with senior officers and, when needed, councillors to seek their views on campaign development and share regular updates.
  • Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and all employees are required to act in such a way that at all times safeguards the health and well being of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of this post.

You will ideally have - 

• Significant experience in selling, marketing including digital marketing, promotion and recruitment activities.
• Experience of work within marketing, communications and/or public relations organisations.
• Track record of developing and sustaining effective professional relationships.
• Experience of identifying and driving existing and new marketing initiatives.
• Significant track record of managing performance to deliver agreed results and meet agreed deadlines
• Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Packages, and other image/video editing software.
• Experience in collating data management information.
• Experience of work with the public, especially ethnic minority communities.
• Relevant experience of developing and operating effective Quality Assurance procedures
• Demonstrable experience of management information systems and related I.T. functions

This is a full time role on a contract basis.
