Position: Forging Operative

Salary: £30,000 (Higher rate for more experienced candidates)

Shifts: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday: 7:00 pm to 12:00 am

Location: Halesowen B63

Our client, a renowned leader in metal supply, is synonymous with excellence in manufacturing processes. With sustained growth and ongoing success, they are now expanding their team of operators to support their ambitious plans for 2024 and beyond.

As a Forging Operative, you'll join a seasoned, proficient team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating and maintaining specialized heavy press machines, with preference given to those familiar with Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and Electrical systems.
  • Manufacturing raw materials according to specifications.
  • Transporting and handling materials using forklift trucks, cranes, and slinging systems as necessary.
  • Monitoring and controlling machine performance and settings to ensure efficiency.
  • Upholding a clean and safe workplace environment.
  • Participating in lean assessment processes and utilizing continuous improvement tools and techniques to enhance area processes.
  • Contributing to ongoing improvement activities to maintain and elevate 6S standards and auditing systems.
  • Inspecting machine outputs and promptly identifying any issues.
