Food Technology Teacher (KS 4/5 - NCFE Food and Cookery)

Location: Silsoe, Bedford

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Start Date: September

A newly established SEN secondary school invites a passionate Food Technology Teacher to lead the NCFE Food and Cookery course. The role includes curriculum development and teaching, focusing on innovative education approaches for students with EHCPs. The supportive senior leadership team is committed to providing a nurturing environment that promotes both student and teacher success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that integrates practical and theoretical aspects of food technology.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Conduct assessments and tailor interventions to support individual student achievements.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure resources and support are aligned with educational goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant vocational qualifications.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education.
  • Enthusiastic about nurturing student potential through culinary arts.
