Food Technology/Design Technology Teacher required in Stockport

Temporary (Until the end of the academic year) with potential for Permanent

£140 - £190 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a dedicated and qualified Food Technology/Design Technology teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students? Our dynamic secondary school in Stockport is seeking a passionate individual to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves teaching both Food Technology and Design Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching: Deliver high-quality and engaging Food Technology and Design Technology lessons to secondary school students, fostering creativity and practical skills.
  2. Planning and Preparation: Develop innovative and relevant lesson plans, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  3. Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, maintaining high expectations for student behavior and academic achievement.
  4. Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including equipment and materials, to support practical learning activities.
  5. Assessment: Implement appropriate assessment methods to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in Food Technology and/or Design Technology.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent planning and preparation abilities.
  • Passion for inspiring students in the fields of Food Technology and Design Technology.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply.
