Food & Beverage/Catering Supervisor

We require a Permanent Catering Supervisor to work for our clients in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

Our client is a prestigious college in the heart of Oxford City and they want the Catering Supervisor to provide the highest quality food & beverage service throughout the college!

Salary: £28,000 per annum - excellent benefits (see below)

Location: Oxford (Oxford City)

Hours: 40 hours across 7 days a week

Start date: ASAP

About the role:

As the Catering Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Organise and direct each meal period so that staff are assigned according to the needs of the level of service across multiple sites and outlets (cafes, bar & Senior common room including a magnificent dining hall that seats 300!)

• Organise and allocate staff effectively to ensure efficient service levels.
• Monitor staff appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of tableware, utensils and prepare dining areas for service.
• Oversee cleanliness and tidiness of service areas post-meal periods.
• Assist with service in the Senior Common Room for lunch and dinner, and manage events and refreshment breaks as required.
• Manage deliveries, including checking for accuracy and quality, and ensuring proper storage.
• Assist in the opening and closing of the bar, cashing up tills, and maintaining stock control.
• Supervise bar staff, prepare staff rotas, and ensure adherence to cleaning schedules.
• Ensure cafe is opened, stocked and closed down efficiently.
• Order Café stock when necessary, in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager.

About you as the Catering Supervisor;

• You must have food service experience
• At least 6 months experience of supervising staff
• Good people skills
• Spoken English to conversational standard
• The ability to organise others as well as having an approachable and outgoing personality.
