We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced F & B Manager (Live-in) who is full of enthusiasm, willing to learn, and open to a new challenge to take responsibility for the high-end and award-winning Hotel Restaurant.
As an F & B Manager, you will be responsible for running the floor during service and delivering an exceptional Food, wine, and beverage experience for the guests. Ideally, you will have a deep appreciation and knowledge of wine, to work with the Micheline star chef on drink pairing options. You'll be comfortable with recommending wine to guests based on their menu choices, whilst ensuring an unforgettable dining experience with your friendly yet confident demeanour.
Who are we looking for?
- A hands-on professional with a natural ability to motivate, train, and inspire a team.
- You will need to be proactive and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar.
- You will thrive in this role if you’re an outgoing person with a real passion for living in small villages, and like activities such as Hiking, cycling, etc.
· Passionate about food, drink, and hospitality
· Experience in managing restaurants and bars, leading and developing staff.
· A qualification in wine is preferred; your knowledge and passion for wine is what counts. (Certified)
· Food drink knowledge is advantageous with a passion for food drink and a genuine desire for sharing this and providing excellent service to our guests.
Where you'll be based
Lake District, Ambleside
What you'll receive
· £35,000 - £38,000 per annum dependent on experience
· Full-time employment, Live-in
· Accommodation is available and the cost will be discussed with the right candidate.
· Training, daily meals, and cost-price wine as benefits
· 28 days annual leave
Experience:
- F&B Manager: 2 years (required)
- Sommelier: 2 years (preferred)
