Are you passionate, dedicated, and motivated Support Worker seeking their next rewarding and unique challenge?
If so, BRC are working in partnership with a national mental health charity to recruit for an enthusiastic floating support worker to start in their established team across NPT.
The successful candidate provide support to people that may be experiencing challenges with their mental health and emotional well-being that could impact their ability to maintain a stable tenancy.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage a case load of service users.
- Assist with practical tasks such as budgeting, accessing benefits and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
- Facilitate connections to community resources and support networks to enhanced social inclusion.
- Develop and maintain excellent working links/partnerships with community agencies and resources including housing providers, training and educational providers.
- Provide outreach support and guidance, empowering people and providing them with the skills and confidence to be able to maintain and continue to make positive life choices.
- Keep accurate notes of all support provided.
- Ensure all relevant information is shared with colleagues, using project communication methods appropriately and effectively.
About you:
To be successful in this post, you will hold previous experience in a support worker role, preferably within mental health or similar field. They will hold experience and understanding of trauma informed practice. Additionally, they will have a genuine passion for mental health and excellent communication skills.
You will be given the autonomy to manage your own workload and will additionally benefit from flexible working conditions. You will also be entitled to a competitive hourly rate, business mileage and the opportunity to further develop your support skills in a rewarding field.
