We are looking for a Fire Safety Joiner to join the Building Safety Team in this new role. As a Fire Safety Joiner you will provide all types of fire safety joinery repairs, to tenanted and vacant properties, within a customer service quality driven repair and maintenance service. You will be covering the South Yorkshire, Calderdale, and Lancashire area.
This is a temporary position for a duration of 4 months with possibility of extension.
Outline of Key responsibilities of the Fire Safety Joiner...
- To carry out all types of Fire safety Joinery repairs to both tenanted and vacant properties as per job tickets, specifications and contract drawings.
- Ensure repairs are completed with high quality workmanship and meet relevant building regulations and standards.
- Organise work efficiently to minimise lost or non-productive time and proactively communicate any workload issues.
- Participate in overtime, stand-by, and call-out shift schedule as needed.
- Use initiative to diagnose and undertake repairs that may deviate from original requirements, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient use of time, materials, and resources.
We are looking for someone who has...
- Full UK manual drivers license and own vehicle.
- Experience in joinery along with other relevant building disciplines.
- Relevant qualification and experience, such as City and Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to complete repairs efficiently and in one visit whenever possible.
Own tools and van desirable.
