Job Title: Interim Fire Risk Assessor

Location: Wiltshire, UK

Duration: 3-months ongoing

As the Interim Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting Fire Risk Assessments for a diverse portfolio of properties owned by the Council. Your role will involve assessing approximately 10,500 tenanted homes, 240 corporate and commercial operational properties, including high-rise tower blocks, medium-rise blocks of flats, and low-rise blocks of flats. You will work collaboratively with other professionals, including the Asbestos Manager, Building Services Engineer, and Facilities Manager, to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain a safe environment for occupants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments for tenanted homes, corporate, and commercial properties owned by the local authority.
  • Assess high-rise tower blocks, medium-rise blocks of flats, and low-rise blocks of flats to identify fire risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to address fire safety hazards and ensure the safety of occupants.
  • Maintain accurate records of Fire Risk Assessments and ensure timely updates as required.
  • Identify areas for improvement in fire safety measures and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews and inspections to monitor compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessments for residential and commercial properties.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Certification or qualifications in fire risk assessment or fire safety management
