Location: Rotherham (S60)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (37hrs)

Pay: £230.00 per day paid weekly via umbrella (no CIS/LTD)

Duration: Ongoing Contract - Long Term/Temp to Perm

Duties

The interim post holder, Reporting to the Compliance Manager, will be working within a team of Building Officers responsible for the Facilities Management of the Councils Corporate Landlord Estate, retained School Estate and other building assets around the borough, providing advice to building users in relation to building related operational use, particularly with regards to Fire Assurance. There will be a specific requirement to review and update all fire Risk assessments under PAS79 standard, and to compile and report any actions/issues identified.

This specific role will be to revising/renewing and completing Fire Risk Assessments and Health and Safety Assessment via site surveys and desk top analysis. This will also involve carrying out staff training as and when required on Fire Assurance.

Qualifications & Experience

• NEBOSH General Certificate/Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate (or similar fire qualification).

• Fire Door Inspections.

• Proven experience in conducting Risk Assessments & Audits for Fire Safety and H&S.

• Ability to compose well written reports using MS Word & Excel.

• Ability to use digital technology to import images and photos.

• Training qualification (Level 3 training award or equivalent)
