Position: Fire & Security Systems Engineer

We are actively seeking a Lead Fire Alarm and Security Systems Engineer to join our established contractor specializing in electrical, heating, plumbing, fire, and security systems. Be a part of our team and contribute to maintaining a secure and safe environment.

Role Duties:

Installation of fire detection and security alarm systems, including emergency lighting, remote monitoring, intruder alarms, access controls, intercoms, and nurse call systems.

Maintenance and ongoing reactive maintenance.

Support customers and wider company operations, sales, administration, and operations where required.

Observe and adhere to company Health and Safety guidelines to contribute to a secure working environment.

Requirements:

Additional capabilities or basic programming knowledge related to fire and security systems are advantageous. Training and development are available.

Specific product knowledge of manufacturers like Gent, Advanced Electronics, HAES, Kentec, Hochiki, Apollo, Vesda, Airsense, Honeywell, Paxton, Control Soft, Videcon, Hikvision is desired.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and suggest appropriate courses of action for fire detection and alarm systems.

Proven experience working in domestic and commercial environments.

City and Guilds 236 parts 1&2 electrical installation would be advantageous, or time-served equivalent.

17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Clean, valid driving license.

Adaptable, comfortable problem-solving autonomously, and not having a daily routine.

Respect for health and safety of themselves, colleagues, and customers.

Benefits:

Starting salary Circa £35,000 - £40,000.

Holiday - 20 days + 8 days Bank Holidays.
