Starting Point Recruitment are currently recruiting a Fire Alarm Design Engineer for our client based in the West Midlands

Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience
Working hours: 9am – 5pm (Hybrid working can be considered)
Location: West Midlands

Jole Role
As a key player in our electrical and fire detection department, you'll design and implement fire alarm and gas suppression systems for various environments, ensuring strict compliance and meeting client needs. Your role blends technical expertise with innovation to exceed safety standards, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :
• Review project specifications, drawings, and proposals.
• Apply fire alarm and gas suppression expertise to design systems.
• Create and coordinate 3D models with clients and other trades.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to stay updated on market trends.
• Engage in client liaison, both locally and internationally, attend meetings, and collaborate with project and sales teams.

Essential Skills
• Understanding of Fire Alarm and Gas Suppression related standards BS5839, BS6266, BS7273, BSEN15004 etc
• The Use of AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
• Qualifications in Industry Standard and Products would be an advantage.
• Previous experience in the fire alarm industry
• Understanding of the commercial implications of what you are designing.
• A can-do hands-on attitude
