Richard Austin are currently hiring for a Financial Systems Apprentice due to continued success and growth. This will be an exciting and varied role where no two days look the same! They are a leading national aluminium and stainless-steel stockholder based in Queenslie, near the Glasgow Fort. The company have 6 sites throughout the UK and one site in Ireland.  They are a family-owned business and have been trading since 1981. 

Overview:

You will be part of a finance team of 8 who will be supportive in your growth professionally within your role. The role will involve a range of digital and finance tasks to support business operations running smoothly. The company will train you on all our systems while giving you the opportunity to achieve your SCQF Level 6 Apprenticeship with QA. In time, the successful candidate would be a main part of the team’s digital transformation and assisting with all things tech and accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact in supporting with suppliers and manage invoices through Stock Master
  • Assist in the integration of their new CRM system, Imetal. You will become a superuser of this system and support others within the company
  • Manage process payments runs by merging information on Imetal with Stock Master
  • Use SAGE for a variety of activities including supplier statement reconciliation and the preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Use calendars via MS Teams and Outlook
  • Collaborate daily with other departments in the business and provide finance reports where requested
  • Prepare and process payment runs with stock master and Imetal
  • Agree sales ledger balances and payment dates with customers digitally via email and telephone

What we are looking for:

  • Able to work as part of a team and have good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Well organised and have excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working with high volume transactions
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Salary:

£17,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
