Financial Risk Manager - ESG Controllership

Protiviti - a Global Management Consulting firm are seeking a talented and experienced Financial Risk Manager to join the team and lead the financial risk management aspect of our ESG reporting and controls programme at our Global Real Estate Services and Investments client. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate ESG reporting, identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with sustainability initiatives, and driving compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute ESG reporting and controls program components, including ESG regulatory monitoring, ESG reporting readiness and implementation, ESG processes and controls readiness, and other project management elements in response to growing stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with various functions to coordinate the ESG regulatory reporting and fillings, ensuring accurate and complete completion of required documentation, data inputs, and disclosures.
• Prepare, develop, and review content of the ESG regulatory reports within critical timelines and support alignment with ESG reporting best practices.
• Support the development of appropriate methodologies and policies for the gathering, processing, calculating, and reporting of ESG data.
• Support the design and operating effectiveness of ESG internal controls and related processes to comply with regulatory frameworks.
• Assist in the tracking of global ESG and disclosure regulations.

Key Requirements:

• ESG experience is ESSENTIAL.
• Audit experience is ESSENTIAL.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working as a Financial Risk Manager within a large corporation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong reporting and controls experience.
