Jenson Fisher, have been engaged, by a highly reputable organisation based in Renfrewshire to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst on a full-time permanent basis. This role would suit an experienced Payroll candidate who wants to be part of a small friendly team and work autonomously to progress their career. My client offers hybrid working, as well as an attractive benefits package. This role will play a pivotal role in supporting the Heads of Finance across a variety of accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a newly Qualified ACCA or ICAS or Finalist candidate, either with a background in Accounting Practice transitioning into an exciting first industry accounting role, or for a candidate already working in industry to move to a new sector with excellent development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance, including variance analysis to identify trends
Analysis of fixed cost utilisation to ensure cost reporting processes are fit for purpose
Preparation and submission of monthly management information to Group
Contribute to ensuring optimum procedures are in place for managing cash and working capital
Assist in the coordination of external audits and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
Support senior staff in the budgeting and forecasting processes

Main requirements:

Newly Qualified or finalist candidate (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
Previous experience in accounting practice, particularly in audit, accounting, or tax would be advantageous but not essential
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new IT and financial systems
