Financial Planning Analyst
Financial Planning Analyst | £50,000 - £53,000 | Permanent | Fully Remote
For the UKs largest not-for-profit social enterprise, we are recruiting two Financial Planning Analysts on a permanent basis - one focusing on long-term planning, the other on financial modelling. Both roles working closely with finance business partners and operations teams, and will develop, implement, and review commercial bids and acquisitions - providing insight to senior leaders on value drivers to inform decision making around bidding strategy and financial planning. The roles will suit someone keen to develop their career within long-term planning, modelling, commercial tendering, and bidding and will suit strong relationship builders from either the commercial or social enterprise sector.
Main Duties:
- Deliver financial and commercial analytics, and modelling, focusing on new business development, bidding and tendering
- Implement best practices in modelling and business development processes across the group
- Utilise modelling standards such as FAST, F1F9, Mazard, Smart, ICAEW Modelling Code, Operis, or BPM.
- Summarise and present complex opportunities and risks for senior management decision-making
- Build and maintain strong relationships across finance, operations, and business development teams
- Support wider team in annual budgeting and long-term forecasting
- Support the Senior Financial Planning Analyst and business leaders in developing and implementing strategy
Person Specification:
- Finance background or relevant degree, or FMVA, BIDA Financial Modeller / Data Analyst
- Familiarity with modelling standards such as FAST, F1F9, Mazard, Smart, ICAEW Modelling Code, Operis, or BPM.
- Experience or interest in working in commercial bids, deals, or transactions
- Financial modelling and due diligence experience either at degree level or from within professional services
- Ideally, experience with financial modelling of large-scale contracts, pricing schedules, and business cases
- Ideally, experience of medium and long-term financial planning, costing and option / investment appraisals
- FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Advanced Excel, ideally VBA
