Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Controller to work with a manufacturing/ construction business based in Swadlincote.

Duties of the role will include:

*

Full preparation and control of the production and manufacturing accounts
*

Preparation of monthly management accounts
*

Preparation of regular group reports including monthly management accounts, cash reporting and quarterly statutory consolidation;
*

Working with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs whilst improving reporting accuracy;
*

Periodically visiting job sites;
*

Reconciling key balance sheet accounts;
*

Preparation of year end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS);
*

Compliance activities: audit, tax and statutory returns;
*

Provide technical accounting guidance where needed re UK/international GAAP;
*

Support Chief Financial Officer in preparation of plans/forecasts; and
*

Support Chief Financial Officer on ad hoc commercial projects

Skills, Requirements, Qualifications

*

Qualified Accountant
*

Manufacturing or Production Accounting experience.
*

Proven staff management and motivation skills.
*

Hands on with ability to get into the detail
*

Strong Excel skills
*

Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail
*

Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
*

Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
