A high-growth business in Warrington is seeking a high-calibre Financial Controller, to join them and lead a small /growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to move to a business that offers career progression, as the company have ambitious growth plans.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a hands-on Financial Controller, who is ambitious and wants to take ownership of the running of the finance department and provide effective leadership to the team.
You will lead the finance function of the group ensuring financial controls are maintained whist supporting the operation to maximise profitability and provide Financial Planning and Analytics to aid operational decision making.
This role will also require you to contribute to the overall development and delivery of business strategy, whilst overseeing the Group's internal and external reporting, managing financial governance and controls and providing commercial support to the CFO.

It is essential that all applicants are CIMA /ACCA qualified and have a good blend of technical and commercial accountancy experience.

As Financial Controller your role will involve:

• Mentor and lead the team to ensure ensure the quality of work and commitment to deadlines is always maintained
• Ensuring Profitability is maximised by delivering all standard KPI reporting and Ad hoc reporting as required by the businesses
• Overseeing day to day treasury requirements whilst creating and reporting a standardised weekly group cashflow to provide foresight on cashflow
• Run the P&L and Month end Accounting deadlines to provide more timely information to the regional managers
• Analyse and question costings and decisions to help the operation maximise profitability and analyse risk
• Maintain balance sheet sign off process as part of the month end that coincides with P&L sign off and Board Pack Production
• Create new processes and procedures in order to streamline efficiency's

To apply for the position you must:

• Be qualified ACCA or CIMA
• Have experience of working as an FC within a fast paced, high-growth business.
• Have strong management skills & a track record of inspiring and managing effectively
• Be technically strong and analytical
• Be a hands on FC and not afraid to roll up sleeves
• Lead from the front
• Have experience of working in a fast-paced environment; proactive, agile, responsive to opportunities and deliver to deadlines
