Financial Controller

CMA are partnering with a fast growth construction business based in Havant, Hampshire on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The financial controller will be the number one in finance and will lead a small finance team and handle the day to day running of the finance team.

What will the Financial Controller role involve?

• Lead the finance team of four including line management responsibility for each.
• Lead on all internal and group reporting including assisting with the production of management accounts.
• Daily, weekly and monthly cashflow reporting to managing director.
• Working closely with the commercial director on all strategic work within finance.
• Production of statutory accounts and leading on audit process.
• Other ad hoc duties within finance.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:

• Previous experience leading a finance team ideally in a number one role.
• Strong experience working in a PE/VC/PLC environment with tight reporting timelines.
• Strong commercial skillset including production of management accounts and business partnering.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Construction experience would be desirable.
