Financial Controller

Your new company
You will be joining a privately owned organisation with a hugely successful track record of over 40 years of ethical and environmentally minded operations. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be working as the Finance Controller, taking responsibility for the finance team (4-5 direct reports), and delivering accurate & timely financial information to the business. Working within a friendly, professional team, they offer hybrid working, so the role will be based in their modern, spacious offices in North-West Dorset (2-3 days per week) and/or from home (2-3 days per week). Your new role
You will enjoy working in a broad and varied hands-on role, which will involve management accounting, budgeting, financial controls, statutory reporting, business analysis and modelling, and business partnering with departmental managers on all things financial. You will lead, coach and inspire the finance team and continue to build their capability and reputation within the business. The role will also allow you to take the lead on various projects, which will help drive continuous improvement across the business, including systems and process changes.

What you'll need to succeed
Due to the wide scope of the role, it would suit someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and use their broad financial skills gained across management accounting, financial reporting/analysis and statutory accounting etc. You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with proven people leadership experience and a resilient, positive attitude. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and gain respect and trust at all levels. Ideally, you will have worked in a dynamic, multi-site organisation previously, but this is not essential.
