Robert Half have partnered back with one of our best clients to hire a Financial Controller position. The business are a fast-growing, well known brand in the FMCG industry.

Role

The Financial Controller position within this growing FMCG business (in excess of £300m TO) is based in Chiswick, West London. You will be a key leader within the finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and reporting. You will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including US GAAP and SOX, and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and make a significant impact on the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial reports.
• Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity management strategies.
• Develop and maintain the UK control environment, implementing policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead the annual statutory reporting process, including the preparation of financial statements and coordination with external auditors.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities, providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SOX controls, and accounting standards, staying abreast of changes and implications for the business.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders, facilitating audits and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function, leveraging technology and best practices.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support business initiatives, including pricing strategies, product launches, and investment decisions.
• Serve as a project team member for key strategic projects, providing accounting and commercial insights
• Identify risks and opportunities across the business, developing and implementing solutions to drive business growth and profitability.

Profile

Ideally for this Financial Controller position in West London, you will need to be switched on, an excellent communicator, hardworking and can take full ownership of the role from start to finish.

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) accountant with relevant experience having been hands on in financial accounting and reporting.
• Team Management experience (minimum of 4 direct reports)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to precision and compliance.
• Industry related experience - FMCG, retail, hospitality etc
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across international teams and conveying complex financial concepts clearly.

Salary & Benefits

This Financial Accountant position within this PE Backed business is offering between £90,000 - £110,000 DOE, Bonus,25 days annual leave, Private Medical and more. There is also hybrid working and more benefits.
