Salary up to £75,000 + bonus

Henderson Brown, on behalf of our client, is currently seeking a Financial Controller for their site located in Telford. The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role within the organisation, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities but not limited to
* Driving optimal performance within the finance function.
* Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive financial controls to mitigate risks effectively.
* Providing valuable commercial insights to facilitate informed decision-making at the site level.
* Leading all financial planning activities, including budget management and forecasting.
* Offering support to the Managing Director in various financial matters.
* Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and Import/Export.
* Maintaining and enhancing accounting systems as necessary.
* Monitoring team performance through established company processes such as probation reviews, one-on-one meetings, and appraisals.
To qualify for this role, candidates should:
* Ideally qualified or QBE
* Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in an FMCG environment, with essential experience in the meat/dairy industry.
* Demonstrate expertise in developing robust processes and financial controls.
* Exhibit strong people management skills, including coaching and interpersonal abilities.
* Have effective communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to translate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experienced in using ERP software/Sage.
* Be commercially aware with excellent attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
* Capable of prioritizing workload effectively to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills.
