Based: Denton area

Salary: up to £60k + private healthcare + flexible working/hybrid working (2 days office) + 26 days rising to 29 holidays

Our client are a leading distribution business based in the Denton area looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. Business are part of a large, international leading group but operate autonomously within the UK as a growing business circa £200m turnover.

This position will work closely with the UK Group FD on leading all UK finances including a small team, offering a great opportunity for a first time OR experienced Financial Controller looking to work in a fantastic business

Role:

• Working with the FD in a pivotal role overseeing all aspects of finance for the UK businesses
• Management and control of the finance team, ensuring training & development (team of 2)
• Managing cash flow for the company and UK group
• Preparing monthly financial reporting for UK companies including accruals, prepayments, Stock reconciliations, reconciling sales & purchase ledger
• Responsible for monthly reporting of company and group performance to Directors and stakeholders
• Producing annual statutory accounts for UK entities, leading on annual audit
• Budget preparation and working with commercial teams to assist on pricing/commercial decision making
• Involvement in various projects over the next 12 months including a system upgrade, website integration and more
• Business partnering with one growing business unit to increase commercial awareness and influence decision making to fuel growth

Experience:

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified Accountant
• Energetic, enthusiastic and keen to gain wide exposure within the business
• Good communication skills and commercial acumen
• Proven experience of management accounts and able to work to tight deadlines
• Good excel skills, able to create and use Excel spreadsheets
• Experience in a large/complex/group business structure
