Financial Controller
Fast growing business in the Runcorn area requires a Financial Controller. Reporting to the CEO this is a newly created role in a business that is developing and growing.
Duties of the role will include:
- Reviewing the current finance systems, controls and processes and implementing the necessary changes to ensure they continue to provide the robust and scalable automation to match the company’s growth aspirations.
- Business partnering with the wider organisation, supporting on projects such as new revenue streams and presenting on any risks and opportunities this may present.
- Monitor and report weekly and monthly cash flow trends.
- The role needs to control all payments (suppliers, sub-contractors and individuals; payroll, accounts payable, and expenses) to maximise cash retention without compromising service and delivery standards.
- Ensure that a robust financial control infrastructure and environment exists at all times including capital expenditure, ensuring the balance sheet is fully (and reasonably) supported and company-wide processes properly followed.
- Build effective relationships with key group and branch-based management teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow within the company.
- Manage and take full ownership of actions and analysis arising from the monthly profit review meetings, ensuring timely completion of all actions. Provide concise and incisive information, resolve key issues and ensure that agreed improvements/interventions are implemented.
- Ensuring the optimisation of cash and working capital through the accurate capture of contract margins and WIP
The right candidate will have experience in the above, be a qualified Financial Controller looking for a role that will off flexibility and progression.
