We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a fast-paced business based in Colchester.

This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO, and will offer fantastic exposure within a PE backed company, mergers and acquisitions work, as well as managing stakeholder relationships across other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor finance team, providing guidance and training
Offering continuous improvement within the finance department
Build financial controls and processes
Lead on the year end audit, work closely with the external auditors
Implementation of improved financial systems and processes
Monthly consolidated management accounts preparation and financial KPI’s
Cash flow forecasting
Budget and Forecasting processes

Key Skills:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
A strategic thinker with a methodical yet pragmatic approach
Commercially astute and understanding of the wider business context
Strong communication, presentational, stakeholder and change management skills
An advocate of technology and continuous improvement
