Financial Controller

Axon Moore are supporting an established international FMCG business in sourcing a high calibre, commercially focused, Financial Controller to partner with the Group CFO. With revenues in excess of £300m, our client is undergoing significant growth and as Financial Controller you will play a key role in the continued development. You will be partnering with the executive team in producing key analysis and MI to drive decisions both at home and abroad to maximise the profitability and efficiencies across the business.

Salary - £80,000 - £90,000 + Bonus

Location – Wilmslow

Main duties as Financial Controller
  • Providing commercial analysis to the CFO and MD in order to support decision making
  • Contributing to the group financial model
  • Providing technical expertise to ensure a compliant and efficient finance function
  • Heavily involved in the manufacturing process to ensure line efficiencies
  • Maximising costings through analysis of raw material spend and supply chain
  • Managing and developing a team of 4 part qualified accountants
  • Managing the forecasting and budgets processes
  • Strong market awareness to recognise external business opportunities

Person Specification
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in a similar environment is highly desirable (FMCG, Manufacturing, Engineering)
  • Strong modelling skills
  • Experience of initiating operational efficiencies
  • Experience of managing a small team
