Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am - 5.30pm)
Our client, located in the Chelmsford area of Essex, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller who wants to join their business and progress into a Finance Directors role.
This role would be ideal for a hands-on Financial Controller, who is not able to progress within their current role and want room to grow their career.
Duties & Responsibilities of a Financial Controller:
- Managing a team of 3 direct reports within the accounts department.
- Assist in the growth of the company.
- Preparing and completing monthly management accounts.
- Manage key relationships (both internal and external) for the organisation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts to support financial planning.
- Preparing end-of-year accounts and assisting with the audit process as required.
- Working closely with the Director to advise on financial affairs.
- Managing and overseeing the sales and purchase ledger.
- Accurate data reporting to management.
- Devising, developing and delivering strategies.
- Providing accurate financial reporting.
- Mitigate threats and maximise returns.
- Identify any opportunities and lead negotiations.
Your Background & Skill:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Fully Qualified (CIMA / ACCA) is desirable.
- Desire to progress your career as the company grows.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on own and in a team.
- Ability to manage relationships, internally and externally.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
