Financial Controller

Preston (hybrid)

Our exclusive client, a family owned, fast growing and dynamic business is looking to recruit a Financial Controller due to continued growth. The successful candidate will be reporting into the Finance Director and directly managing a small team of 3. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management/Financial Accountant looking to take a step up and help support the businesses ambitious and exciting plans.

The business currently operates in the UK but is looking to expand into Europe and they have 25% growth forecasted year on year. A really exciting time to join!

The role is extremely varied but some of the main duties are below:
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead on key external relationships with key stakeholders, including external audit, payment processors and key suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control processes into business operations
  • Develop and implement cash strategies for managing third party funds
  • Set up corporate structure for foreign growth strategies
  • Review financial systems and implement changes required for growth
  • Manage internal controls of the business documenting the risks and associated policies
Person Specification:
  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
  • High attention to detail
